Halloween Party GamesKids love Halloween. After all, it combines dress-up with candy and what could be better? Some adults enjoy this min-holiday just as much as the kids. In fact, it is quickly becoming one of the larger holidays for retail sales of decorations, party goods, costumes, and of course, candy. If you need some Halloween party games and ideas before your next hallows eve bash, here are a few to get you started. Have a Halloween costume contest to attend? Check out the many and unique Halloween costumes from Anytime Costumes. Halloween party games make some people’s skin crawl. Not just because of their theme, but because quite simply, some people don’t enjoy party games at all. Yet, the true measure of success at any party is if you can get all your guests involved. Even if it’s just passively. These Halloween party games make it easy to achieve that goal and can include kids and adults. The Mummy Wrap. Pair people up, each with their own roll of toilet paper. This is especially fun with child/adult partners. Pairs then race against each other to wrap their partners in an entire roll, break out of the wrap and then switch. The first pair to finish wrapping each other and breaking free wins. Granted, this is one of those Halloween party games that make a mess, but it’s a fun mess to make. Bobbing for apples is the most traditional of all Halloween party games, but can be particularly difficult to play indoors if weather does not permit outdoor play. In this case, a tub full of Styrofoam packing peanuts substituting for water makes for a dryer, less messy version. The apples don’t float obviously, but rooting around for one on the bottom is just as fun. Do not attempt this game with small children who could choke on the peanuts. Other Halloween party games include pin-the-wart-on-the witch and the old favorite gruesome-guess. To play the wart on the witch game, buy or make a large poster board witch’s head. Be sure her nose is in plain view. Players take a piece of chewing gum, chew it up and then while blindfolded try to get the gum stuck as close to her nose as possible. The gruesome-guess game is where party guests can place their hands in hidden bowls filled with spaghetti, peeled grapes, Jell-O and other every day mushy stuff that is labeled as brains, eyeballs, or vomit. Players have to guess exactly what is really in each vessel. |
